Sustainable Benicia: Energy Symposia  
Thursday, February 2     6:00 pm to 8:30 pm
Benicia Community Sustainability Commission with Dominican University presents a free, four-part symposia series addressing the environmental & economic aspects of energy generation both locally and globally.

Jazz and Crab Feed  
Friday, February 3     6:00 pm to 9:00 pm
Sponsored by the Panther Band & Viking Band Boosters, the annual fundraiser benefits music programs at the middle school and high school.
Tickets are $40 for regular admission, $35 for Seniors (65 and older), and includes all-you-can-eat salad, red beans & rice, bread, tea, coffee, desssert and crab! Wine & beer sold at the bar. Ticket sales end Jan. 27. Call 707-742-3888.

Ghost Walk

Meet the ghosts of Benicia's past: Paranormal history of downtown Benicia are discovered on the fun, interactive tour led by a paranormal investigator and sensitive. $25 per person / space is limited. Reservations are required by calling 707-745-9791.

Artist Reception  
Saturday, February 4     4:00 pm to 6:00 pm
The public is invited to a reception for oil painter, Flora Baumann, the February featured artist at the Benicia Plein Air Gallery in downtown Benicia.
The cooperative gallery, housed in an historic downtown building, shows the outdoor paintings in oil, acrylic, watercolor, and pastel of 14 local artists Thursday to Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information click on attached web link or call 707-745-3119.

BHS "Evening of Love" Fundraiser  
Saturday, February 4     5:30 pm
Benicia High School Performing Arts students first fundraiser, a spaghetti dinner, silent auction and musical theater showcase.
Dinner begins at 5:30 p.m. in the student center cafeteria, followed at 7 p.m. when participants will move to the Performing Arts Building for an evening of entertainment. Community members are invited to meet with police officers, professionals, and Police Chief Andrew Bidou at an informal meeting to discuss crime trends in your neighborhood and to answer questions, offer safety tips and provide information on topics of interest. Black Irish in Concert

The band has a large compliment of traditional maritime and railroad music, as well as ethnic tunes in their
repertoire. They commonly play Irish, Italian, and American folk music with an assortment of original songs and traditional western ballads.
